I love leading people in worship! I enjoy overseeing all aspects of music and arts ministry at Faith Fellowship and also lead the women's ministries. One of my favorite activities is studying the Bible with other women.
My childhood was spent in Japan, California, Germany, Louisiana, and Virginia courtesy of the U.S. Air Force. I graduated from Evangel University in Springfield, MO with a Bachelor of Music Education degree (piano major). Throughout my years at Evangel, I had the opportunity to travel all over the country, ministering in churches with a choral group. I became a licensed minister affiliated with the Assemblies of God in 1997. I currently teach choral music at a local public middle school.
I have been married to Don since 1988. It has been a joy to minister together with him throughout our marriage. We have two delightful adult daughters, Lauren and Jocelyn. I love being their mom! I am truly blessed.
I read voraciously. I read while cooking, while fixing my hair, while cleaning... All time favorite books include Mansfield Park, Pride & Prejudice, The Lord of the Rings, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Patriarchs, Gilead, Peace Like a River, Alexander Hamilton, Paris 1919, and Truman. Other hobbies include photography, scrapbooking, cooking, various forms of sewing, and decorative painting.
One of my favorite scriptures is found in Psalm 27, verse 4: "One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple."
